Just a note that we're still working hard to secure our new location in Alameda, CA.  We're busting through the red tape and trying to get that "just right" spot for our game collection with the goal of being open by the summer! Some Suprising NEWS... High Scores Arcade is officially RELOCATING to San Francisco, California! Our last day of business in Burlington NJ will be Saturday, December 1st, 2012, and ending at 6:59pm! We cordially invite all of our regular customers and friends to join us in our fairwell celebration on that evening (from 7pm-2am) 7 hours where ALL games and amusements will available totally FREE of charge to our customers who respond and plan to be in attendance! This is a private party, so those of age are welcome to bring refreshments including Beer, Wine, and Spirits! Please stop by with your family and friends to enjoy our entire collection which will be available for play for the first time all at once!

Thank you for the years of support, and we welcome you at our new location next Summer or whenever you travel out West!

High Scores Arcade offers a fun, affordable venue for your private party.  We host all kinds of special events - from bachelor parties, milestone birthdays and children's parties. 

When you rent the space, all games are set to freeplay and we're closed to the general public - it's like having your own private arcade!  You're welcome to bring your own food and drink, or we are happy to arrange delivery from one of the many great eateries in our area.

High Scores Arcade is partnering with Retrocade Magazine and PatrickScottPatterson.com for the upcoming ARCADE WINTER BLAST!

Come in to High Scores between January 26 and February 13 (during normal weekend hours)and register your score for a chance to win a PatrickScottPatterson.com gift pack!

Contest games are: Arabian, Jungle King, Gyruss, Scramble, Timber, and Jr. Pac Man. Note that High Scores doesn't have Jr. Pac Man, but you can play at home and submit your scores for that game if you wish.

Saturday, December 3 - New High Scores!! Christmas Parade!

If you're the type to step into the world of whimsy and make believe that video games offer, than you must still believe in Santa, right?

Well if you do, today is Burlington City's Annual Christmas Parade, and it goes right down High Street in front of High Scores! The parade begins at 5 pm, come on out and get your gaming (and hot cocoa, and tree lighting) on! Just remember, no parking on High Street during that time!

Also, we've added some new High Scores to the Pro Board, courtesy of Sam Miller (ZAZ). Check them out! There are also new scores for Tetris, scored by Chris Bucca on his birthday, and Gyruss, by Russ who continues to be his own best competition.

Have you been to visit lately? If not, you should! We've got some new games including Aerosmith's Revolution X, Smash and Drive, and Sega Turbo Outrun cockpit. Hope to see you soon!

Stupid Hurricane...

Thanks to everyone that came out last night, Friday, before the storm came about! Today we decided to close because there was no one anywhere around Burlington! I guess the proximity to the Delaware isn't a charm this weekend. We hope to see everyone next week for an epic weekend of gaming!

Retrocade Magazine Arcade Summer Showdown at High Scores

High Scores Arcade has partnered with Retrocade Magazine for the Summer Arcade/MAME Showdown!

Contest games are: Galaxian, Pac-Man, Reactor, Bubbles, Star Castle, Time Pilot and Zoo Keeper. Play here and we'll submit your official scores to the site - or, practice and play at home and submit your scores (you'll have to take a pic and send it in if you play at home - here we're official refs so no need for pics, but you must call us over before your game ends to witness your score).

High Scores Welcomes Lonnie McDonald

We were lucky enough last week to get a visit from Lonnie McDonald of Kansas City. Lonnie found himself with some business to do on the east coast, so he mapped out some key locations along the way that had dedicated Joust machines. He at one point had been declared a Joust pro by the Williams Company, and is determined to put scores up on that level again. Armed with a big box of diverse candy selections, he came to High Scores first on Wednesday with the intention of rolling over the machine at 10,000,000. Unfortunately, he hadn't been counting his men during the course of the game, and he died a little over 9.3 million.

So he returned on Thursday night, and after about six and a half hours, rolled the score over so that his score on the machine remains as 9,999,999. Check out the video here - we wish Lonnie well on his road to greatness!

Burlington Bike Night | Saturday, June 4th

On Saturday, June 4 from 4 - 10 pm, Burlington City will welcome hundreds of motorcycles to its downtown district. High Street will be closed to traffic, and the street and the waterfront will offer tons of fun activities, including music, food vendors, and more!

Even if you don't dig motorcycles, the event is tons of fun and would be a great day to stop by High Scores! Come into the A.C. and get your game on, and then wander out to the street for good food and drinks! Check out a video from a previous Bike Night here!

Burlington Day Saturday, May 21, 10 am-4 pm

Although we can't believe that our fantastic game listing isn't enough to bring you to Burlington, in case you need another incentive to check out us, come out to High Street this Saturday to enjoy Burlington Day. High Scores Makes the News!

Check out High Scores on WPVI (Channel 6 Phila) on Tuesday, April 5!

Thanks to our friends at the Burlington County Times - who came out to cover The CAGDG Donald Hayes Challenge last month - High Scores Arcade will be featured on Action News this Tuesday, April 5. So get out your alarm clocks, folks, because the feature on us will air just before 6 am on Channel 6 (for those in the Philadelphia area).

We don't use a vending service to provide a stale selection of played out games. Best part about it? Our music, our blacklights, our games, and OUR PRICES are all reminiscent of the 80's! There is no cover to come in and all games are set to either 25 or 5o cents per play.
